حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ، وَهَاشِمٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَتَّابٍ، وَقَالَ هَاشِمٌ مَوْلَى بَنِي هُرْمُزَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ: لَوْلَا أَنْ أَخْشَى أَنْ أُخْطِئَ لَحَدَّثْتُكُمْ بِأَشْيَاءَ سَمِعْتُهَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، (٢) لَكِنَّهُ قَالَ: " مَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَيَّ مُتَعَمِّدًا فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ " قَالَ هَاشِمٌ: قَالَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَوْ سَمِعْتُهَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that if I did not fear making a mistake, I would narrate many ahadith of the Prophet (ﷺ) to you. But the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Whoever deliberately attributes a false statement to me should make his abode in Hell.
