حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، صَنَعَ خَاتَمًا مِنْ وَرِقٍ، فَنَقَشَ، ، فِيهِ مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللهِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: " لَا تَنْقُشُوا عَلَيْهِ " (١)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (ﷺ) had a ring made for himself and had engraved on it "Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah," and said, "No person should have this inscription engraved on his ring."
