حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ، (٣) حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ سَلْمٍ الْعَلَوِيِّ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ: دَخَلَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلٌ وَعَلَيْهِ صُفْرَةٌ فَكَرِهَهَا، فَلَمَّا قَامَ الرَّجُلُ، قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِبَعْضِ أَصْحَابِهِ: " لَوْ أَمَرْتُمْ هَذَا أَنْ يَدَعَ هَذِهِ الصُّفْرَةَ ". قَالَهَا مَرَّتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثَةً، قَالَ أَنَسٌ: وَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَلَّمَا يُوَاجِهُ رَجُلًا بِشَيْءٍ يَكْرَهُهُ فِي وَجْهِهِ (٤)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the Prophet (ﷺ), and he saw yellow color applied on him, so he expressed displeasure at it. When the man left, the Prophet said to one of the companions, "If you had ordered that person to wash off that color, how good it would have been!" And it was the blessed habit of the Prophet (ﷺ) that he would not come before anyone with such a face that would express displeasure.
