حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَامِرٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ: سَأَلْنَاهُ عَنِ الْوُضُوءِ عِنْدَ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ، فَقَالَ: " أَمَّا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَكَانَ يَتَوَضَّأُ عِنْدَ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ "، وَأَمَّا نَحْنُ فَكُنَّا، ، نُصَلِّي الصَّلَوَاتِ بِطُهُورٍ وَاحِدٍ (١)،

Translation

English translation

Amr bin Aamir asked Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) about performing ablution for every prayer, so he replied that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to perform a fresh ablution for every prayer, and we used to offer several prayers with a single ablution until we became without ablution.
