English translation

It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the companions (may Allah be pleased with them) said to the Prophet (ﷺ), "O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)! Has your such-and-such servant been martyred?" The Prophet (ﷺ) replied, "Never! I saw a cloak on him which he had acquired by committing treachery from the spoils of war on such-and-such day."
