Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I was sitting in the gathering of the Prophet (ﷺ) when a man passed by. Someone among those sitting said, "O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)! I love this person." The Prophet (ﷺ) said to him, "Have you told him this?" He replied, "No." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Then go and tell him." So that man stood up, went to him and said, "Brother! I love you for the sake of Allah." He replied, "May He for whose sake you love me, love you in return."
