Translation

English translation

Qatadah (may Allah have mercy on him) says that we used to visit Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), and he had a baker appointed at his place. One day he said to us: Eat, but to my knowledge, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) never saw fine bread with his own eyes, nor did he ever eat a whole roasted goat.
