Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (ﷺ) arrived in Madinah Munawwarah, Umm Sulaim (may Allah be pleased with her) took my hand and brought me to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said, "O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)! This is my son and he knows how to write." Thus, I served the Prophet (ﷺ) for nine years. Whatever work I did, the Prophet (ﷺ) never said to me, "You have done badly," or "You have done wrong."
