حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، أَخْبَرَنَا هَمَّامٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ: لَمَّا انْصَرَفَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ، نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ: " {إِنَّا فَتَحْنَا لَكَ فَتْحًا مُبِينًا لِيَغْفِرَ لَكَ اللهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِكَ وَمَا تَأَخَّرَ، وَيُتِمَّ نِعْمَتَهُ عَلَيْكَ وَيَهْدِيَكَ صِرَاطًا مُسْتَقِيمًا} [الفتح: ١-٢] "، قَالَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، هَنِيئًا لَكَ مَا أَعْطَاكَ اللهُ، فَمَا لَنَا؟ فَنَزَلَتْ: " {لِيُدْخِلَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا وَيُكَفِّرَ عَنْهُمْ سَيِّئَاتِهِمْ وَكَانَ ذَلِكَ عِنْدَ اللهِ فَوْزًا عَظِيمًا} [الفتح: ٥] " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (ﷺ) was returning from Hudaybiyyah, this verse was revealed to him: "Indeed, We have given you a clear conquest, that Allah may forgive for you what preceded of your sin and what will follow and complete His favor upon you and guide you to a straight path." When the Muslims heard this, they said, "O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)! Congratulations to you, for Allah has granted you this bounty. What is there for us?" Upon this, this verse was revealed: "That He may admit the believing men and the believing women to gardens beneath which rivers flow, to abide therein forever, and may remove from them their misdeeds; and that is, in the sight of Allah, a great success."
