Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to come to us and joke with my younger brother. One day, the Prophet (ﷺ) saw him sad and said, "O Abu Umair! What happened to the Nughair?"—the little bird that had died. And a sheet was spread for us, upon which the Prophet (ﷺ) led the prayer, and we stood in rows behind him.
