Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Do not ask me about anything that will happen until the Day of Judgment unless I myself tell you about it. Despite this, Abdullah bin Hudhafah (may Allah be pleased with him) asked, "O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)! Who is my father?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Your father is Hudhafah." His mother said to him, "What was your purpose in asking this?" He replied, "I wanted to be free from what people were saying." In fact, there were some rumors about him. Anyway, upon his question, the Prophet (ﷺ) became angry. At this, Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "We are pleased and content with Allah as our Lord, Islam as our religion, and Muhammad (ﷺ) as our Prophet, and we seek refuge with Allah from the anger of Allah and His Messenger."
