حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ،، ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِذَا أَرَادَ اللهُ بِعَبْدٍ خَيْرًا اسْتَعْمَلَهُ " قَالُوا: وَكَيْفَ يَسْتَعْمِلُهُ؟ قَالَ: " يُوَفِّقُهُ لِعَمَلٍ صَالِحٍ قَبْلَ مَوْتِهِ " (١)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: When Allah Almighty intends good for a servant, He uses him. The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) asked: How does He use him? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: He grants him the ability to perform righteous deeds before his death.
