حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ: " كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا كَانَ مُقِيمًا اعْتَكَفَ الْعَشْرَ الْأَوَاخِرَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ، وَإِذَا سَافَرَ اعْتَكَفَ مِنَ الْعَامِ الْمُقْبِلِ عِشْرِينَ (٢) " قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ: قَالَ أَبِي: " لَمْ أَسْمَعْ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ إِلَّا مِنْ ابْنِ، ، أَبِي عَدِيٍّ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ "،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (ﷺ) was residing, he would observe i'tikaf during the last ten days of Ramadan, and when he was traveling, he would observe i'tikaf for twenty days the following year.
