حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ: " لَمْ يَكُنْ فِي رَأْسِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَلِحْيَتِهِ عِشْرُونَ شَعَرَةً بَيْضَاءَ "، وَخَضَبَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ بِالْحِنَّاءِ وَالْكَتَمِ، وَخَضَبَ عُمَرُ بِالْحِنَّاءِ (٢)، ، . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that there were not even twenty white hairs in the blessed beard of the Prophet (ﷺ). Abu Bakr As-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) used to dye his hair with henna and katam, while Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) used only henna for dyeing.
