حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ يَحْيَى، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يُوسُفَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سَلَامٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " مَنْ جَاءَ جِنَازَةً فِي أَهْلِهَا (٢) فَتَبِعَهَا حَتَّى يُصَلِّيَ عَلَيْهَا فَلَهُ قِيرَاطٌ، وَمَنْ مَضَى مَعَهَا فَلَهُ قِيرَاطَانِ مِثْلُ أُحُدٍ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Saeed (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Whoever offers the funeral prayer and accompanies (the funeral) up to the grave will receive the reward of two qirats, and whoever only offers the funeral prayer but does not go up to the grave will receive the reward of one qirat, and one qirat is equal to (the mountain of) Uhud.
