Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، أَخْبَرَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى (٣) عَنِ الْوِصَالِ فِي الصَّوْمِ، فَلَمْ يَزَلْ بِهِ أَصْحَابُهُ حَتَّى رَخَّصَ لَهُمْ مِنَ السَّحَرِ إِلَى السَّحَرِ " (٤)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade fasting continuously without taking sahur. The companions kept insisting, so the Prophet (ﷺ) permitted them to fast from one sahur to the next sahur.
