Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لَيَبْعَثَنَّ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فِي هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ خَلِيفَةً، يَحْثِي الْمَالَ حَثْيًا، وَلَا يَعُدُّهُ عَدًّا " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Saeed (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Allah Almighty will surely appoint a caliph in this Ummah who will give wealth and riches abundantly to the people without counting.
