حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا قَتَادَةُ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " أَنْتَ تَخْلُقُهُ أَنْتَ تَرْزُقُهُ؟ فَأَقْرِرْهُ (١) مَقَرَّهُ، فَإِنَّمَا كَانَ قَدَرٌ (٢) " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ), while discussing "azl" (withdrawal), said: Will you create this newborn? Will you provide sustenance for it? Allah has placed it in its abode, so this is a part of destiny, and this is destiny.
