حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ شُجَاعٍ، حَدَّثَنِي خُصَيْفٌ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَرَّتَيْنِ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ يَقُولُ: " الذَّهَبُ بِالذَّهَبِ، وَالْفِضَّةُ بِالْفِضَّةِ وَزْنًا بِوَزْنٍ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Saeed (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) say twice from the pulpit that gold should be exchanged for gold and silver for silver with equal weight when buying and selling.
