Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Saeed (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (ﷺ), during his final illness, came out with a band tied around his head and ascended the pulpit. I was also present. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "At this moment, I am standing at the Pond of Kawthar." Then he said, "Allah Almighty gave one of His servants the choice between the world and coming to Him, and that servant preferred to go to Allah." Among all the people, no one understood this except Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), and he said, "May my parents be sacrificed for you; we will give our lives, wealth, and children for you." Then the Prophet (ﷺ) descended from the pulpit and was never seen on it again.
