حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، " أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ وَالْحَنْتَمِ وَالنَّقِيرِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ، وَأَنْ يُخْلَطَ بَيْنَ الزَّبِيبِ وَالتَّمْرِ وَالْبُسْرِ وَالتَّمْرِ " (١)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade making and using nabidh (fermented drink) in gourds, pitchers, hollowed-out wood, and varnished wooden vessels, and he forbade making nabidh by mixing unripe and ripe dates or by mixing dates and raisins.
