حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ، أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ أَبُو شُجَاعٍ، عَنْ أَبِي السَّمْحِ، عَنْ أَبِي الْهَيْثَمِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: {وَهُمْ فِيهَا كَالِحُونَ} [المؤمنون: ١٠٤] ، قَالَ: " تَشْوِيهِ النَّارُ، فَتَقَلَّصُ شَفَتُهُ الْعُلْيَا، حَتَّى تَبْلُغَ وَسَطَ رَأْسِهِ، وَتَسْتَرْخِي شَفَتُهُ السُّفْلَى حَتَّى تَضْرِبَ سُرَّتَهُ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) explained the verse "wa hum feeha kalihoon" by saying that the fire of Hell will scorch him so that his upper lip will swell up and reach the middle of his head, and his lower lip will hang down to his navel.
