Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُتْبَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ: " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَشَدَّ حَيَاءً مِنْ عَذْرَاءَ، ، فِي خِدْرِهَا، وَكَانَ إِذَا كَرِهَ شَيْئًا عَرَفْنَاهُ فِي وَجْهِهِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) was more modest than a veiled virgin girl, and when something displeased him, we would recognize it from his blessed face.
