حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَمَّتِهِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " تُنْكَحُ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى إِحْدَى خِصَالٍ ثَلَاثٍ: تُنْكَحُ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى مَالِهَا، وَتُنْكَحُ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى جَمَالِهَا، وَتُنْكَحُ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى دِينِهَا، فَخُذْ ذَاتَ الدِّينِ وَالْخُلُقِ تَرِبَتْ يَمِينُكَ " (٣)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: A woman is married for one of three reasons: either for her wealth, or for her beauty, or for her religion. Marry the woman who possesses religion and good character, may your hands be dusted.
