حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي مَسْلَمَةَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا نَضْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: " إِنَّ أَهْلَ النَّارِ الَّذِينَ هُمْ أَهْلُ النَّارِ لَا يَمُوتُونَ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَوْنَ، وَلَكِنَّهَا تُصِيبُ قَوْمًا بِذُنُوبِهِمْ - أَوْ خَطَايَاهُمْ - حَتَّى إِذَا صَارُوا فَحْمًا أُذِنَ فِي الشَّفَاعَةِ، فَيُخْرَجُونَ ضَبَائِرَ ضَبَائِرَ، (٢) فَيُلْقَوْنَ عَلَى أَنْهَارِ الْجَنَّةِ، فَيُقَالُ: يَا أَهْلَ، ، الْجَنَّةِ أَهْرِيقُوا عَلَيْهِمْ مِنَ الْمَاءِ، قَالَ: فَيَنْبُتُونَ كَمَا تَنْبُتُ الْحِبَّةُ فِي حَمِيلِ السَّيْلِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Saeed (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Those who are destined for Hell will remain in it forever; neither will death come to them nor will they be granted life. However, those upon whom Allah intends to show mercy, He will cause them to die in Hell. Then the intercessors will intercede for them, and they will come out of it in groups. They will bathe in a special river—whose name will be the River of Life, or Hayat, or Hayawan, or the River of Paradise—and they will grow forth just as a seed grows in the flow of a flood.
