Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Saeed (may Allah be pleased with him) that once Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) sent a piece of gold from Yemen wrapped in a tanned hide—"whose soil had not been spoiled"—to the service of the Prophet (ﷺ). The Prophet (ﷺ) distributed it among Zaid al-Khair, Aqra bin Habis, Uyaina bin Hisn, and Alqama bin Ulatha or Amir bin Tufail, four men. Then the narrator mentioned the complete hadith.
