Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that during the blessed era of the Prophet (ﷺ), a man bought some fruit but suffered a loss in it and incurred a large debt. The Prophet (ﷺ) encouraged the companions (may Allah be pleased with them) to give charity to him, and people gave him charity, but it was not enough to pay off his debts. The Prophet (ﷺ) gathered his creditors and said, "Take whatever is available; you will not get anything beyond that."
