Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي الْحَارِثُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ عِيَاضِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَرْحٍ،، ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَبْدَأُ يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ، ، وَيَوْمَ الْأَضْحَى بِالصَّلَاةِ قَبْلَ الْخُطْبَةِ، ثُمَّ يَخْطُبُ فَتَكُونُ خُطْبَتُهُ الْأَمْرَ بِالْبَعْثِ وَالسَّرِيَّةِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Saeed (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) would lead the prayer before the sermon on the days of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha, then deliver the sermon and explain the rulings related to that sermon.
