حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِنَّ أَسْوَأَ النَّاسِ سَرِقَةً، الَّذِي يَسْرِقُ صَلَاتَهُ "، قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَكَيْفَ يَسْرِقُهَا؟ قَالَ: " لَا يُتِمُّ رُكُوعَهَا وَلَا سُجُودَهَا (١)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "The worst thief is the one who steals in prayer." The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) asked, "O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)! How can one steal in prayer?" He replied, "By not performing the bowing (ruku) and prostration (sajdah) properly."
