Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that once some dates were presented to the Prophet (ﷺ), whose quality pleased him very much. The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) said, "O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)! We have acquired these for you to eat in exchange for one sa’ for two sa’." The Prophet (ﷺ) expressed disapproval at this and forbade it.
