حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَشْهَبِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نَضْرَةَ الْعَبْدِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ: رَأَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي أَصْحَابِهِ تَأَخُّرًا، فَقَالَ: " تَقَدَّمُوا فَأْتَمُّوا بِي، وَلْيَأْتَمَّ بِكُمْ مَنْ بَعْدَكُمْ، وَلَا يَزَالُ قَوْمٌ يَتَأَخَّرُونَ، حَتَّى يُؤَخِّرَهُمُ اللهُ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (ﷺ) saw that some of the companions were staying behind, so the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Move forward and follow me in prayer, those behind you will follow your lead, for people will continue to stay behind until Allah will put them at the back on the Day of Resurrection."
