حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِزْرَةُ الْمُسْلِمِ إِلَى نِصْفِ السَّاقِ، فَمَا كَانَ إِلَى الْكَعْبِ فَلَا بَأْسَ، وَمَا تَحْتَ الْكَعْبِ فَفِي النَّارِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Sa'id (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: The lower garment of a Muslim should reach to the middle of the shin; there is no harm if it is between the shin and the ankles, but the part of the lower garment that is below the ankles will be in the Hellfire.
