Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، عَنْ يَحْيَى، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِذَا رَأَيْتُمُ الْجَنَازَةَ فَقُومُوا، فَمَنْ اتَّبَعَهَا (٢) فَلَا يَقْعُدْ حَتَّى تُوضَعَ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Saeed (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: When you see a funeral, stand up, and whoever accompanies the funeral should not sit down before the funeral is placed on the ground.
