حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ (٣) يُونُسَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ أَبِي الْوَدَّاكِ،، ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ: أَصَبْنَا سَبْيًا (١) ، يَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ فَكُنَّا نَلْتَمِسُ فِدَاءَهُنَّ، فَسَأَلْنَا رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْعَزْلِ، فَقَالَ " اصْنَعُوا مَا بَدَا لَكُمْ، فَمَا قَضَى اللهُ فَهُوَ كَائِنٌ، فَلَيْسَ مِنْ كُلِّ الْمَاءِ يَكُونُ الْوَلَدُ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that during the Battle of Hunain, we captured some prisoners. We wanted to release them in exchange for ransom, so we asked the Prophet (ﷺ) about coitus interruptus (‘azl). The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Do whatever you wish, whatever Allah has decreed will happen, and not every drop of semen results in a child.
