حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: " مَنْ اسْتَعَفَّ أَعَفَّهُ اللهُ، وَمَنْ اسْتَغْنَى أَغْنَاهُ اللهُ، وَمَنْ سَأَلَنَا شَيْئًا فَوَجَدْنَاهُ أَعْطَيْنَاهُ إِيَّاهُ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Saeed (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Whoever seeks chastity, Allah grants him chastity; whoever seeks sufficiency from Allah, Allah grants him sufficiency; and whoever asks us for something and we have it, we will give it to him.
