حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجٌ، وَعَفَّانُ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، وَقَالَ عَفَّانُ: أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ، عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ،، ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - أَوْ سَأَلَهُ رَجُلٌ - فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّ الذِّئْبَ قَطَعَ ذَنَبَ شَاةٍ لِي فَأُضَحِّي بِهَا؟ قَالَ: " نَعَمْ "، وَقَالَ عَفَّانُ: عَنْ ذَنَبِ شَاةٍ لَهُ فَقَطَعَهَا الذِّئْبُ، فَقَالَ: أُضَحِّي بِهَا؟ قَالَ: " نَعَمْ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I or someone else asked the Prophet (ﷺ) this question: O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)! A wolf bit off the tail of my goat and ran away, can I offer it as a sacrifice? The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Yes! You can.
