حَدَّثَنَا عَارِمٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نَضْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، وَرَفَعَهُ، إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: " إِذَا أَوْهَمَ (١) الرَّجُلُ فِي صَلَاتِهِ، فَلَمْ يَدْرِ أَزَادَ أَمْ نَقَصَ، فَلْيَسْجُدْ سَجْدَتَيْنِ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ " (٢)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated on the authority of Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) in a marfu’ form that when a person has doubt in his prayer and does not remember whether he has performed more or fewer rak‘ahs, then he should perform two prostrations of forgetfulness while sitting.
