حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ، عَنْ فِرَاسٍ، عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ نَبِيِّ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لَا تَحِلُّ الصَّدَقَةُ لِغَنِيٍّ، إِلَّا أَنْ يَكُونَ لَهُ جَارٌ فَقِيرٌ، فَيَدْعُوَهُ فَيَأْكُلَ مَعَهُ، أَوْ يَكُونَ ابْنَ سَبِيلٍ،، ، أَوْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ " (١)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "It is not permissible for a wealthy person to take charity (zakat), except in the case where his neighbor is poor and invites him, and he eats food at his place, or (he takes it) in jihad in the way of Allah, or in the state of travel."
