Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " الضِّيَافَةُ ثَلَاثٌ فَمَا زَادَ عَلَى ذَلِكَ فَهُوَ صَدَقَةٌ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Hospitality is for three days, and whatever is beyond that is charity.
