حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَامِلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ (٢) عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْأَشَجِّ، عَنْ عِيَاضِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، قَالَ: أُصِيبَ رَجُلٌ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي ثِمَارٍ ابْتَاعَهَا، فَكَثُرَ دَيْنُهُ، قَالَ: فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " تَصَدَّقُوا عَلَيْهِ " قَالَ: فَتَصَدَّقَ النَّاسُ عَلَيْهِ فَلَمْ يَبْلُغْ ذَلِكَ وَفَاءَ دَيْنِهِ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " خُذُوا مَا وَجَدْتُمْ، وَلَيْسَ لَكُمْ إِلَّا ذَلِكَ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that during the blessed era of the Prophet (ﷺ), a man bought some fruit, but he suffered a loss in it and incurred a large debt. The Prophet (ﷺ) encouraged the companions (may Allah be pleased with them) to give charity to him. People gave him charity, but it was not enough to pay off his debts. The Prophet (ﷺ) gathered his creditors and said, "Take what is being given to you; you will not get anything more than this."
