قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ: مَالِكٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي صَعْصَعَةَ الْمَازِنِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ: أَنَّ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ قَالَ لَهُ: إِنِّي أَرَاكَ تُحِبُّ الْغَنَمَ وَالْبَادِيَةَ، فَإِذَا كُنْتَ فِي غَنَمِكَ أَوْ بَادِيَتِكَ، فَأَذَّنْتَ بِالصَّلَاةِ فَارْفَعْ صَوْتَكَ بِالنِّدَاءِ، فَإِنَّهُ " لَا يَسْمَعُ مَدَى صَوْتِ الْمُؤَذِّنِ جِنٌّ وَلَا إِنْسٌ، وَلَا شَيْءٌ إِلَّا شَهِدَ لَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ (٤)، ،
Translation
English translation
Ibn Abi Sa’sa’ah (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from his father that Abu Sa’id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) once said to me: I see that you love goats and the wilderness, so whenever you give the call to prayer (adhan) among your goats or in the wilderness, give it in a loud voice. For whatever hears the sound of the adhan—whether jinn, humans, or stones—will bear witness in his favor on the Day of Resurrection. I heard this from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).
