حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي فِطْرٌ (١) ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ رَجَاءٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، قَالَ: كُنَّا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: " فِيكُمْ مَنْ يُقَاتِلُ عَلَى تَأْوِيلِ الْقُرْآنِ كَمَا قَاتَلَ (٢) عَلَى تَنْزِيلِهِ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were sitting with the Prophet (ﷺ) when the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Some people among you will fight over the interpretation and explanation of the Qur'an just as I fight over its revelation.
