حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي يَحْيَى، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، أَنَّ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ حَدَّثَهُ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمُ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ قَالَ: " لَا تُوقِدُوا نَارًا بِلَيْلٍ " قَالَ: فَلَمَّا كَانَ بَعْدَ ذَاكَ (٣)، ، قَالَ: " أَوْقِدُوا، وَاصْطَنِعُوا، فَإِنَّهُ لَا يُدْرِكُ قَوْمٌ بَعْدَكُمْ صَاعَكُمْ وَلَا مُدَّكُمْ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said to the companions (may Allah be pleased with them) on the day of the Battle of Hudaybiyyah: "Do not light a fire at night." After some time, he said: "Now you may light a fire and cook food, for no nation after you will be able to reach your Sa’ and Mudd."
