حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، وَشُعْبَةُ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " إِذَا كَانُوا ثَلَاثَةً فَلْيَؤُمَّهُمْ أَحَدُهُمْ، وَأَحَقُّهُمْ بِالْإِمَامَةِ أَقْرَؤُهُمْ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Where there are three people, then at the time of prayer one should become the imam, and among them, the one who knows the most Qur'an has the greatest right to lead the prayer.
