حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ دَاوُدَ - يَعْنِي ابْنَ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ عِيَاضٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، " لَمْ نَزَلْ نُخْرِجُ زَكَاةَ الْفِطْرِ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَاعٌ (٢) مِنْ تَمْرٍ، أَوْ شَعِيرٍ، أَوْ أَقِطٍ، أَوْ زَبِيبٍ " (٣)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that in the blessed era of the Prophet (peace be upon him), one sa’ of dates or barley, cheese or raisins was always given as Sadaqat-ul-Fitr.
