حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مَسْعُودٍ الْجُرَيْرِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، قَالَ: كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي سَفَرٍ، فَمَرَرْنَا بِنَهَرٍ فِيهِ مَاءٌ مِنْ مَاءِ السَّمَاءِ، وَالْقَوْمُ صِيَامٌ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " اشْرَبُوا "، فَلَمْ يَشْرَبْ أَحَدٌ فَشَرِبَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَشَرِبَ الْقَوْمُ (١)،
Translation
English translation
Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that we were on a journey with the Prophet (ﷺ), and we passed by a stream in which rainwater had collected. The people were fasting at that time. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Drink the water," but due to fasting, no one drank. Upon this, the Prophet (ﷺ) went ahead and drank the water himself. Seeing the Prophet (ﷺ), everyone then drank the water.
