حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ النُّعْمَانَ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: وَسُئِلَ أَيُّ النَّاسِ خَيْرٌ؟ فَقَالَ: " مُؤْمِنٌ مُجَاهِدٌ (٢) بِمَالِهِ وَنَفْسِهِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ " قَالَ: ثُمَّ مَنْ؟ قَالَ: " مُؤْمِنٌ فِي شِعْبٍ مِنَ الشِّعَابِ يَتَّقِي اللهَ، وَيَدَعُ النَّاسَ مِنْ شَرِّهِ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that a person asked the Prophet (ﷺ), "Who is the best among the people?" The Prophet (ﷺ) replied, "The believer who strives in the way of Allah with his life and wealth." The questioner asked, "Who after him?" He replied, "The believer who lives in any locality, fears Allah, and keeps people safe from his harm."
