حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، أَخْبَرَنِي جَابِرٌ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ، يَشْهَدُ " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ زَجَرَهُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ، وَزَجَرَهُ أَنْ يَسْتَقْبِلَ الْقِبْلَةَ لِبَوْلٍ " (١) وَهَذَا يَتْلُو حَدِيثَ ابْنِ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ جَابِرًا، عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يَشْرَبُ وَهُوَ قَائِمٌ فَقَالَ: " كُنَّا نَكْرَهُ ذَاكَ " ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ حَدِيثَ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) testifying about the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade this, and he also strictly forbade facing the Qiblah while relieving oneself. Abu Zubair (may Allah have mercy on him) says that I asked Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) about drinking water while standing, so he replied that we did not consider it good, then he mentioned the aforementioned hadith of Abu Saeed (may Allah be pleased with him).
