Original Arabic

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ،، ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ: " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ اخْتِنَاثِ الْأَسْقِيَةِ " (١)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Saeed (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade turning a waterskin upside down, making a hole in it, and drinking water directly from its mouth by putting one's mouth to it.
