حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: أَنْبَأَنِي أَبُو نَضْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، أَنَّ صَاحِبَ التَّمْرِ أَتَى رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِتَمْرَةٍ فَأَنْكَرَهَا، قَالَ (١) : " أَنَّى لَكَ هَذَا؟ " فَقَالَ: اشْتَرَيْنَا بِصَاعَيْنِ مِنْ تَمْرِنَا صَاعًا، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " أَرْبَيْتُمْ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Saeed (may Allah be pleased with him) that a date seller brought some dates to the service of the Prophet (ﷺ). The Prophet (ﷺ) found something unusual about the transaction, so he asked him, "Where did you get these from?" He said, "We gave two sa’ of our dates and took one sa’ of these superior dates." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "You have engaged in an usurious transaction."
